From GRO to Tarragona

Yes, there is a train going from Girona city train station to Tarragona, it is a long trip of around 2 hours and 30 minutes, and you need to go through Barcelona central train station (SANTS) or Passeig de Gracia, barcelona second largest train station. There is no way to go from GRO airport directly to Tarragona, but you could also take the bus to Barcelona Nord bus station and from there take a taxi or metro to SANTS estacio, but I would rather go to Girona bus station, because bus and train station are located very nearby in Girona.

Okey. So in the morning or later the next day, is there a connection from girona airport to Tarragona by train or bus? Or do we have to go to Barcelona first and from there to Tarragona? Thank you.

Yes, you can always sleep at the Girona airport, the only problem is to be aware that the airport is crowded 24 hours with very late arrivals and departures.

There is no way you can get from Girona to Tarragona this late. I recommend you a transfer with private car, or to stay in Girona that night or stay in a Barcelona hotel. Then in the morning you can take the train, which is the fastest connection
