I had an accident whilst in Spain and required assistance in the airport and boarding the plane. The assistance scheme at the airport is fantastic. I was concerned as to how I would cope returning home but was met outside the airport by an extremely helpful man with a wheelchair. He took me through Check In and Security and onto the plane itself. I canot praise this scheme enough. I was dreading boarding the plane but the whole experience was seamless, so much so that it was the most stress free check in I have ever experienced. Full marks to Girona airport who made the service I received back in Britain appear decidedly second rate.
