Stansted is 45 miles north east of London´s city centre. Ryanair offers daily flights between Stansted Airport and Girona Airport.
Ryanair is a budget airline offering very reasonable prices. The flights are regular, often offering up to five flights each day. London Stansted has a range of travel options on offer, from frequent buses to the centre with stops on the way, to their direct train to Liverpool Street. There are 4 every hour and the journey takes just 45 minutes. There are two bus companies: National Express and Terravision. Terravision runs exclusively to Victoria, and its last bus is at 1am, whereas National Express runs to other destinations such as and its last bus leaves at 11.45. This shouldn´t cause a problem considering the good range of flight times on offer. Girona Airport is also well connected to Barcelona and the Costa Brava area during the day.
Be careful with your luggage with Ryanair, as they charge high rates for extra luggage, which at the moment stands at 15 euros per extra kg. Please see our Companies section for more information on their policies. Although the later flights are often cheaper, it can make the journey to your final destination very difficult, as the transport connections after midnight are very limited from both Stansted and Girona Airport.
