Hotel Husa Fornells Park

It is easily accessible as they offer a shuttle service which runs every hour to and from Girona airport and Girona city centre.

This attractive 3 star hotel is surrounded by lush green countryside. It has an ideal balance of comfort and elegance, its classical facade and rustic decor in harmony with its surroundings. It has 53 rooms with rates starting from 50 euros per night, complete with TVs, phones, internet access, mini bar and air conditioning, and some come with balconies. They also have a swimming pool and private parking. They have a bar and two good restaurants - the Fornells, and the more exclusive Celler.

Positives: The hotel is situated in an attractive building in very pleasant surroundings, and the rooms are equipped with a good range of facilities. It is perfect for those stopping off for a night before or after a flight. The prices are very reasonable, and are only a little more than what you would pay at the basic 2 star Vilobi hotel.

Negatives: As it is in the countryside, it is not ideal for those visiting Girona as it is 3km from the city centre and the public transport is limited. The staff have occasionally been reported to be rather unfriendly. As it is an old building, it is fairly clean but not spotless, so could do with some renovation. If you are looking for somewhere more modern, go for the Novotel just 3km from Girona Airport.
