From Barcelona to Girona Airport by car
The journey from Barcelona to Girona airport is fairly straight-forward. It is approx. 100km so will take around 1 hour 20 minutes. When you get to the Ronda Litoral (Barcelona´s big roundabout) follow the signs to C-33 road. You´ll pass a number of toll booths on your journey, which will add up to about 9 euros. You´ll have to take a ticket at the gate and pay at the next booth. Once you´re on the C-33, look out for the blue sign for the AP7 motorway. Follow the signs and it will take you all the way to Girona airport.

From Barcelona to Girona Airport by taxi
We advise to not take a taxi from Barcelona to Girona Airport, as it is about 150 euros.
From Barcelona to Girona Airport by bus
The Barcelona Bus is the easiest and cheapest way to travel between the centre of Barcelona and Girona Airport. The company is not owned by Ryanair, but its timetables are tailored the coincide with the arrivals and departures of Ryanair flights.
The bus goes directly from Barcelona Estacio Nord, which is around five minutes walk from the metro stop Arc de Triomf (red line 1) The buses leave every fifteen minutes, and take you straight to the terminal building at Girona Airport. Journey time is approximately 1 hour 10 minutes. A single ticket costs 12 Euros, and a return is 21 Euros. It´s not possible to buy your tickets in advance.

*Make sure you get the right bus! Barcelona Bus runs two routes, one to and from Girona airport and one to and from Girona city centre. Make sure the destination of your bus is Aeropuerto de Girona.

All departures leave from Barcelona Estació del Nord. Estació del Nord is at 80, Ali Beí street, and nearest metro station is Arc de Trionf on L1 (red line).

Girona Airport\'s official name is Girona Costa-Brava Airport, but it is also known as Barcelona Girona Airport (GRO) and Gerona airport (Spanisch spelling).
From Barcelona to Girona Airport by train
This option is only to be used in case there are no buses running directly from barcelona\'s Estació del Nord to Girona GRO airport, or if you would like to visit this pretty town, Girona. Be aware of departures from Estació del Nord on December 25, 26 and January 1st.
You can get to Girona city center from Barcelona by train with renfe, and from the train station walk to the old town to visit the city, or if you do not have time, from there you can get to GRO airport with the bus departing from Girona Bus station, which is at the same location as the train station.
The cost for the train is around 6 to 7 EUR depending on which type of train. We strongly recommend to take a train called \"Catalunya Express\" and avoid any train \"Regional\".
